Staff Profile: Damian Maganja
Damian is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate in the Food Policy Division at The George Institute for Global Health. His PhD research focusses on novel interventions to improve food environments and support healthier dietary patterns, and he is also engaged in broader work on food regulation policy and governance. Before joining the team, he worked in various government and non-government health policy and program positions, including experience with the Australian Department of Health supporting the implementation and evaluation of Australia and New Zealand’s front-of-pack nutrition labelling system. Damian has previously completed a Master of International Public Health and Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences.
