  • Most of the salt that we eat is already in the foods that we buy so it is important that we eat as many fresh foods as possible and limit the processed foods. There  are lots of options out there, so where possible, check the label, and choose the lower salt option.

 

  • FoodSwitch, a FREE mobile health app developed by The George Institute and BUPA, can be used to help consumers to make healthier choices. Consumers can simply scan the bar code of a food product and FoodSwitch will show the nutrition information of that product AND suggest a healthier alternative – making it easier than ever before to make a healthier choice for you and your family.
